Great. So now that we have talked a little bit about ETHR and all the different components this next video is gonna talk a little bit about how you incorporate ETHR into your clinical visit. As a reminder for this pilot trial, we will be sending you a text message before every visit. Where we would like you to ensure that you're providing this information and giving the family a box.
That being said, feel free to use this with any other family. That's totally fine. We also have resource guides available that you can give families. We don't have the full box available for families that aren't in the study, but feel free to use this as often as you'd like with eligible families.
So how does ETHR fit into your clinical practice? We developed ETHR to flow into your clinical workflow as we've been mentioning, which I'll talk about in a minute. So this should really naturally flow into what you're already doing during well child visits. So prior to the visit, we recommend that you review the provider seven taps.
So this is a really quick one to two minute educational program that gives you a summary of basically everything you need to know about ETHR and how to incorporate ETHR into the clinical visit. So these are some examples of the seven taps of what you'll see. And as a reminder, it's on your phone and you literally just tap through it.
It goes through the scripts, it goes through everything. And so we recommend just taking a couple minutes right before the visit just to remind yourself of what to do, especially earlier on when you're just starting. So with ETHR as a reminder, it flows into your clinical visit. And I know this is, there's a lot on this slide, but you can use this in many different situations.
And so if you are going to be talking to the adolescent alone, what we recommend doing is using the introductory script. When the parent and the adolescent are still in the room, giving the box to the teen and giving the parent resource guide to the parent so they can look at it when they're in the waiting room.
And then you can use the second script to provide the ARA education to the adolescent during the social. History during the confidential social history. You can use it wherever it fits best for me. It usually fits best when I'm talking about friends or when I'm talking about sexual history. And then in the meantime, the
parent will be in the waiting room, reviewing the resources, and then when the parent comes back in, you can use the third script to wrap up the visit.
So that's the typical flow. Now, if the parent decides not to come back in for whatever reason, then you can always give the family the box and do the introduction and just move that wrap up. To the middle before the parent leaves, and then the rest of it flows the same way. And then if for whatever reason the parent or the child does not want to leave, or the parent or the child doesn't want the parent to leave the room, you can do the exact same thing.
Because we're not screening for. Adolescent relationship abuse. These scripts work pretty well if the parent's in the room as well. So in this circumstance, you would introduce the topic, give the box to the adolescent and the parent. Then when you're talking to the teen, you can provide the ARA education with the parent in the room.
And then you can provide the wrap up script also with the parent in the room, and then the dyad can review the resources on their own at home. What I will say in the circumstances, it may be you just have to be careful about what you're the questions that you're asking. But because again, we're not screening for relationship abuse it works very well and you can use ETHR even if the there's not a confidential history.
And you can use ETHR with all teens and preteens. So this is specifically developed for ages 12 to 16, even if they haven't started dating or thought about dating. And you can use it with all families. This is a universal program that is for everybody. And like I mentioned, while you'll be getting text messages for the specific families enrolled in this study please feel free to use this with other families too and give us feedback because we wanna make sure this works well for you.
